The Non-Certified Medical Assistant Apprentice will be working in the clinic under the supervision of a Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse preceptor, Registered Nurse, or licensed Provider. Will assist RN, Physician and other providers with direct patient care in the department, working in accordance with Tamarack Health standards of practice and by adhering to established policies/procedures . Will perform identified procedures individually once competencies have been demonstrated. The apprentice will be enrolled concurrently in an accredited 1-year CMA program or ICATAP Apprenticeship

Requirements:

• High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certified or able to obtain within 3 months.

• Enrolled in the In-Clinic Assistant Training Apprenticeship Program (ICATAP) advancing though learning modules every 3 months for 12 months as skills are acquired to perform the Medical Assistant program. Upon completion of the ICTAP apprentice program, CCMA Board Certification is required within 3 (three) months of completing the apprentice education program and meeting on the job hours requirement.
